SNL’s Producer Sends Pete Davidson To Treatment After His Concerning Message

It looks like the “Saturday Night Live” Executive Producer, Lorne Michael, is sending the comedian Pete Davidson to treatment after the latter posted a very concerning message on his Instagram account, saying he did not want to be ‘on this earth anymore’. This was revealed by a close source to Michael, who told Page Six:

The decision was taken to give Pete a break on Saturday night – his sketches were dropped before the early evening rehearsals.

Apparently, the producers are upset, and want to help, the source continued:

Lorne has pledged to help all he can, including sending Pete to get help. Everyone on the cast is hugely protective of him and were obviously upset – particularly Colin Jost and Michael Che on ‘Weekend Update.’

But it is not yet known where the SNL comedian will be staying for treatment. It’s also been reported that Davidson isn’t planning to take much time off, and will possibly return to the set shortly after New Year. This comes right after it was revealed that Davidson refused to let his ex-girlfriend in, Ariana Grande after she rushed to visit him at the SNL studio over the weekend.

According to TMZ regarding Ariana’s visit, the 25-year-old comedian reportedly informed the security to hold her at bay when he heard that she was on her way to 30 Rock.

On his harrowing message, Pete wrote:

I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last.

Concluding his message with a heart emoji, he wrote:

All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so.

According to the New York Times, the NYPD sent an officer to SNL’s studios in Manhattan to make sure that Davidson was present and not in distress. Moreover, an NBC staffer called the NYPD later to confirm that Davidson was inside the building and that he was fine.

In fact, Pete Davidson has had a history of mental health issues, about which he has been very open about.

When he was in high school, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and started smoking marijuana to relieve his pain. Moreover, he discovered he had bipolar disorder and was admitted to rehab twice. Davidson talked about this in the past and said:

The last few years have been real rough with me. I took all these mental health classes and really spent a lot of time getting me good.

When Ari saw Pete’s message, she rushed to see him and make sure he is doing fine, however, Pete did not let this go through, about which Ariana took to Twitter.
